Sue Barrett is a respected denim and trend analyst/ forecaster, with a strong global knowledge of denim and casualwear textiles, washes and manufacturing. As a former senior designer, Sue has worked for leading denim brands and manufacturers, including Tommy Hilfiger Europe, Wrangler, Lee, Firetrap. In addition to her role at WGSN, Sue is currently also a consultant for leading Turkish denim mill.

Sue Barrett, Senior Denim Editor at WGSN, talks through WGSN's sport & street trends for spring/summer 2009. Colour, graphics, styling, silhouettes , sustainability and inspiration from around the world. Plus, a sneak peak at colour trends for autumn/winter 2009/10.
The workshop will start with Sue’s presentation of WGSN’s Sport & Street Directions 2009 – a 45 minute visually rich presentation drawing on WGSN’s extensive library of photographs, sketches, graphics, materials and colour palettes. This will help illustrate the analysis Sue presents, touching on the trends and also specifically on Eco issues.
The presentation is designed to inform, inspire and stimulate discussion. –The talk will then be open to the floor for a Q&A session, and interactive discussion amongst participants.
