Eco-Design - A Policy Approach
The aim of this intervention is to show what could be a policy approach to EcoDesign. Consumption is a symbol of our society and affects in many ways the state of our environment. In Germany private consumption is responsible for a quarter of all greenhouse gas emissions. So there is a strong need for a product policy which addresses these challenges.
There are several instruments to be used:
Awareness raising, minimum standards, public procurement, labelling etc.
It will be shown which instruments are used in which ways and how public private partnerships could be developed in the field of sports equipment.
