Sakku
sakku.traveller akku
design: Andreas Fischler
retail price: 299 Euro
product description
Sakku is a 100% Swiss-made messenger bag with integrated solar cells. The Sakku solarbag provides constant power for cell phones, GPS, iPods or PDAs. The average lifetime of today’s solar cells is 20-25 years. After two to three years use, most cells have already produced more energy than was used in their production.
If a sakku solarbag is not used for very long, the solar panels can be returned and will be installed on a solar farm which produces green energy for everyone. This guarantees that the used solar panels produce more energy than they require for their production.
The sakku solarbags are made of used and reclaimed sails from sailboats. All bags are numbered and stamped with the lake of origin, so every bag is a unique piece of craftsmanship.
Sakku solarbags are primarily distributed via the website www.sakku.ch
