Pureskis
Number Two
design: Yassin Mounajed
retail price: 998 Euro
product description
Pureskis’ main environmentally friendly idea focuses on the reduction of energy for unnecessary transportation. Pureskis mainly uses local materials and only domestic woods for the production of its Number Two skis. No component supplier is based further than 500 kilometres away. Pureskis’ distribution concept is based on made-to-order production; the goal is to manage without in-between brokers and in-between storage space.
Combining his technical knowledge as a joiner and boat builder with his passion for freeride skiing, Yassin Mounajed, the designer of Pureskis, produces skis on a small scale with a big reputation. Materials that have proved their worth in boatbuilding—such as carbon or ash wood, are processed into unique products. With its Number Two skis, Pureskis launched a project with a different way to leave a smaller environmental footprint.
