product description

With a cumbersome bag of clubs, tees and other essential equipment, golfers are forced to use a car to get to the golf course. With this — and the environment — in mind, the German company Essedum created a clever device for golfers called the StreitWagen. Now golfers can pursue their passion easily by bike. By attaching the StreitWagen behind your bike, you eliminate the need for a car, and while you’re having fun at the golf course you can feel confident that you took a step towards reducing your environmental footstep.

There are bike trailers to transport all kinds of stuff, but they do not work well as golf trolleys. Conversely, there are many golf trolleys but none is capable of being drawn by bike. The idea of a golf trolley that can be used as a bike trailer is innovative, but putting the functions of these two simple devices together was no simple thing. A golf trolley has to be light and easy to fold up. A bike trailer has to resist higher velocity and therefore should be more stable. Furthermore, the product design should be well balanced for both walking and biking. Used as a conventional golf trolley or used as a bike trailer, the StreitWagen covers both purposes adequately.

Being able to ride your bike together with your gold equipment out to the course and then using the CycleCaddy as a golf trolley while you play is an extremely unusual and highly environment-friendly concept that is absolutely worthy of winning first place in this category.
