the jury
The jury is hand-picked based upon their knowledge in the specific categories and industry. Some experienced jury members from the past, who are exerts in design or sports will once again be part of the jury. Specialists from the ecological field will complete the jury, seeing that the best-designed, ecological sports products will be awarded.
A. Kupetz
Andrej Kupetz studied industrial design, philosophy and product marketing in Berlin, London and Paris. He taught as a visiting professor at the University of Arts Berlin. Since 1999, he has been managing director of the German Design Council. He has been a jury member since the 1st annual VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD.
P. Waeber
Peter Waeber founded the bluesign technologies AG in 2000 i
n order to guarantee that the standard is independent and therefore implementable for the greatest possible number of companies. The bluesign® standard developed from a project initiative in 1997.
U. Tischner
Ursula Tischner, studied architecture and Industrial Design in Germany, and specialises in EcoDesign. She worked at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy in the field of ecology and design. Today she runs e(c)oncept, a consulting firm focused on ecological considerations in product design based in Cologne, Germany.
