SportsDesign is not engineered. It is not built.
Sports products are not construced. They are brought to life.
VOLVO SportsDesign at ispo illustrates this process.

A SportsDesign platform is created to promote the work of designers and design schools.

ispo and Volvo Cars seek to empower SportsDesign in general and the winning designers, products and companies in particularly.

Design is the key factor for successful sports products.
The VOLVO SportsDesign FORUM is a unique platform that brings together designers and developers from varying branches. The goal is to accelerate the dialogue between industrial, graphic and SportsDesign and to stimulate new impulses in design developments. Accordingly, top-class representatives from industry, design, science, trade, sports and press meet every year at the ICM Munich.

The forum was created by Pascher + Heinz SportsMarketing in 2002 with the first conference organized in February 2003 for partners ispo and Volvo Cars.
While the forum focuses on the future, the VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD remunerates innovative ideas dealing every year with a different topic.

In 2005, the Volvo Car Corporation and ispo decided to offer an award to companies for their advancements in SportsDesign and initiated the first VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD. The Award was established to honor the outstanding and innovative products and design developments within the sports industry and to show the potential of young designers. Every year there is a new topic for both the VOLVO SportsDesign FORUM and AWARD.

It’s about perfomance as well as the look and feel.
